Kaplan International Colleges has established an international college in partnership with the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). With state-of the-art facilities and excellent support services, the IAT offers career-based technical education at the secondary and tertiary levels to meet the industrial and technical challenges and requirements that will allow UAE national students to move on to pursue their careers in the higher technologies.
We are now looking for additional teachers for the English language teaching teams in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia, who will be responsible for delivering English language programmes to students on pre-sessional programmes and Foundation Certificates leading to higher education programmes in the areas of health science, logistics and aviation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the posts:
CELTA (or equivalent) plus relevant Masters (TESOL/Linguistics/Education/Modern Languages): minimum of 3 years teaching experience; first degree in any subject area; or
CELTA (or equivalent) plus relevant Bachelor (TESOL/Linguistics/Education/Modern Languages) and minimum of 3 years teaching experience; or
CELTA plus non relevant Bachelor degree + minimum of 5 years teaching experience; or
DELTA (or equivalent) + minimum of 3 years teaching experience; first degree or masters in any subject area.
Please note that the minimum teaching experience required must have been gained after attaining the qualification.
Desirable
- Masters degree in English Language and Literature/TESOL/Linguistics/Education/Modern Languages
- Experience of delivering ELF/EAP preferably with experience in the Gulf region.
- Experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment.
Salary and Benefits:
Contracts are available for single status, married and families.
The IAT offers a competitive tax-free salary plus:

Successful candidates will be appointed at Grade T4 with salary range between AED 11,998 - 13,496 monthly tax free salary plus benefits.
Salary level awarded will depend on qualifications and experience.
