Internship Program in Edinburgh - mission accomplished as chapter draws to a close
Many congratulations to postgraduate student and Kaplan International Colleges intern Martina Hermann. Martina (pictured left), from Germany, has recently completed an internship placement at Niche Works and can reflect back on her successful time at the Edinburgh-based PR and marketing consultancy.
Martina decided to go to Edinburgh as she wanted to gain work experience in a foreign country and become familiar with Scotland and its media, PR and marketing industry. Furthermore, she wanted to improve her English skills by using the language in a working environment. Both her goals have been successfully met!
OPUS Program in Edinburgh - success story for one talented student
While Martina can look back on the end of a successful chapter, another Kaplan International Colleges student can look forward to exciting times. We are delighted to announce that Stephanie Mohneke (below) has successfully landed a job offer as part of her OPUS Paid Work and Study Program.
Stephanie, 19, from Germany, has been offered a 5-month contract as a sales assistant at Au Naturale in Edinburgh as part of her OPUS 5 Course. With 104 stores and 2,500 employees nationwide, Au Naturale is one of the fastest growing homewear retailers in the UK. Stephanie will be based at the recently refurbished Meadowbank store in Edinburgh, and can be sure to gain a wealth of invaluable experience during her time at Au Naturale to complement her English studies.
Stephanie’s story serves as another fine example of the thriving success of the OPUS Paid Work and Study Program, as recognised with the prestigious Language Travel Magazine ‘Star School Innovation Award’ for 2007. We wish Stephanie every success in her new position!
