Opus student reaps the benefits of Work and Study program
Publish date: 11/02/2010
Students on our Opus program learn both in the classroom and in the workplace by combining an English language course with a paid work placement. One student in particular has been reaping the rewards of this highly effective double learning experience.
Tassia Latorraca, a London-based Opus student from Brazil, was fortunate enough to gain work with one of our exclusive placement providers – leading clothing retailer Zara – at their flagship store in Knightsbridge in central London. Tassia (pictured right), who made a great impression on customers and her employers, really enjoyed the combination of English classes and paid work. She felt that her speaking and listening skills improved significantly through face-to-face contact with customers.
Tassia’s example goes to show the benefits of combining English language tuition with a work placement. For more information about the Opus Paid Work and Study program, view the 2010 Opus Flyer.
