Lively and informative English lessons
Kaplan uses a set of teaching materials specially designed for younger learners at our English summer school in Salisbury. Our skilled and friendly teachers will ensure that all lessons offer learners a diverse mix of activities. We strive to provide lessons that are both enjoyable and challenging.

Location: Our Salisbury homestay students are taught either at St. Martin's Annexe - part of Kaplan's year-round English school which provides a pleasant and well-equipped learning environment - or at the nearby Salisbury campus of Wiltshire College. Afternoon and evening activities are run at the nearby Godolphin School campus (see below for more details).

Accommodation: Twin and single rooms with welcoming homestay hosts on a full-board meal provision basis. Most homestays are located a short bus ride to lessons and Kaplan provides free minibus transportation back to the homestay after evening activities.

 

Salisbury St. Mary'sSalisbury_StMarys_School


Age range: 14 - 17
Dates: 4 July - 14 August
Course length: 2 - 6 weeks
Availability: Available for group and individual bookings

Location: St. Mary's residence, located on the scenic campus of Wiltshire College on the eastern fringe of central Salisbury. Lessons at Godolphin School (see Salisbury Godolphin for more details) which provides a pleasant learning environment. The Godolphin is within walking distance of the residence.

Accommodation: Predominantly single rooms (some twin rooms available) with en-suite bathroom facilities in groups of 9 or 10, each with its own shared kitchen and dining area. Communal common room, internet room and sheltered private courtyard shared between all residents. All meals provided with breakfast at St. Mary's and lunch and dinner at Godolphin school.

Age range: 6 - 13
Dates: 5 July - 14 August
Course length: 2 - 6 weeks
Availability: Available for group and individual bookings

Location: Godolphin School - a leading private school set in scenic grounds. All facilities including classrooms, accommodation, cafeteria, extensive sports and play facilities are on site. The campus provides an ideal controlled, secure environment for the youngest of learners. Students aged 13 will live and have meals at Godolphin but will have classes and activities with St. Mary's students (see the Salisbury St. Mary's center for more details).

Accommodation: Multi-bed rooms with shared bathrooms in Godolphin boarding house. All meals provided at the Godolphin school canteen.

School activities and excursions this summer may include:

 

Horse riding
Horse riding just outside Salisbury is a lovely way to explore the countryside and enjoy the summer in England.

Sports
Your English summer school will organize many sporting activities for you to participate in including swimming, volleyball and other team games.

Fancy Dress competitions
Pit your creative skills against your classmates' in one of our dress-up competitions. These evenings are often hilarious and worth every ounce of your effort.

Stonehenge
Explore England's rich history and folklore at Stonehenge.

Oxford
Join a day trip to Oxford; home to Oxford University, the UK's premier university. Witnessing the tradition and grandeur of the colleges is a privilege and an experience not easily forgotten. Don't forget to see the 'Harry Potter dining hall' at Christchurch College.

Longleat House
Take a tour of Longleat House, widely regarded as the best example of high Elizabethan architecture in Britain.

Sightseeing in London, England
