Professional internship placements abroad
Kaplan's internship programs combine a short English course with a professional, unpaid internship placement in Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland or Ireland. This program is designed for people who already have intermediate English proficiency but want to improve it to a level where they can take part in an international business environment.

Why can't I do an internship in the USA?
We are unable to offer standard interships in the United States due to F-1 visa restrictions, but we do offer part time Practical Business English placements as an alternative.

The PBE program includes a minimum 4 week Intensive English course followed by 8 weeks (or more) during which students organize their days between their full-time English course and a non-paid part-time placement with a company. During the first part of the program, our highly skilled advisers will help you prepare for interviews. During the second part of the program, you will combine your English courses with a professional placement in a local company to further enhance and develop your language skills and classroom learning.

Admission conditions
Before the internship: You must have an intermediate level of English or higher with a fluency in spoken English. We can estimate the number of weeks that you need in order to reach this level. To apply for a professional placement, you must pass our English test and send us your CV and cover letter. You also have to complete an application form, available on request from your Kaplan International Colleges representative.
The placements are available for the students over 18 years old. Please note that our internships/placements are non-paid and are under the visa legislation of the destination country.
