University Preparation Courses
Our courses encourage pupils to develop themselves professionally and linguistically. We aim to make them as accessible as possible and tailored to our students. Our courses focus on:
- Increasing each student’s English language level
- Developing confidence in dealing with career related situations in English
- Integrating subject-specific modules related to the IAT progression choice
IAT-Kaplan's courses include:
English pre-entry course
Our English pre-entry course places a great emphasis on equipping each student with the English language skills needed to achieve a minimum IELTS of 3.0 and progress on to a Foundation Certificate.
- Foundation Certificate Level 1 (for progression to Fatima College or The Logistics Academy)
- Foundation Certificate Level 2 (for progression to the Al Ain International Aviation Academy)

| Objective |
Students will be required to take and successfully pass four English language modules:
- General Reading and Writing 1
- General Reading and Writing 2
- General Speaking and Listening 1
- General Speaking and Listening 2
Students will also need to reach an English level equivalent to IELTS 3.0. |

Successful students will progress on to one of IAT-Kaplan’s Foundation programmes:
- Foundation Certificate Level 1 (for progression to Fatima College or The Logistics Academy)
- Foundation Certificate Level 2 (for progression to the Al Ain International Aviation Academy)

Foundation programmes
Our Foundation programmes have been especially designed for students who need to take their English skills to the next level and who want to combine their course with subject-specific modules related to their subsequent programme at an IAT Academy.

- Pathway module:
- Either Foundation Science (Science pathway) or
- Foundation Workplace (Business pathway)
Students will also need to reach an English level equivalent to minimum IELTS 5.0. |

Successful students will progress on to one of two institutions depending on their chosen pathway:
- Fatima College of Health Sciences (Science Pathway)
- Logistics Academy (Business pathway)

- Advanced Mathematics
- Advanced Science
Students will also need to reach an English level equivalent to minimum IELTS 5.5. |
