Academic Pathways Programs at Northeastern University:

Kaplan International Center's Global Pathways Program is your first step toward a degree from Northeastern University. This innovative program is your opportunity to experience life at a top American university while preparing for your Bachelor's or Master's degree. The Global Pathways Program at Northeastern University offers specialized areas of academic study along with intensive English language training.

Undergraduate Bachelor's Program: Undergraduates will study with Global Pathways for 1-3 semester terms earning 12-16 university credits. Global Pathways courses integrate English lessons with academic coursework toward your program of study. Once you meet the graduation requirements, you'll be admitted to one of Northeastern University's Bachelor's degree programs as an advance level Freshman.

Postgraduate Master's Program: Graduate students will enroll for 1-2 semester terms. Global Pathways students improve their academic English while completing academic coursework toward your program of study. Once you meet the graduation requirements, you'll be admitted to one of Northeastern University's Master's degree programs.

Bachelor Completion in Leadership: Graduate with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from a top 100 university in a shorter time and at an affordable price. Students with two years of post high school education can take a fast route 18 month course (6 quarterly terms) to complete a Bachelor's in Leadership with conditional admission to continue into a Master's degree in Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies.

The following housing options are available to our Global Pathways students:

Homestay: Live with a local host family, so you can practice your English and experience American culture, while you study on your program. 

  • Fully furnished single and double rooms with shared bath.
  • Breakfast and dinner daily.
  • Near public transportation (30-45 minutes to campus).
  • Minimum Age: 17

Off Campus Dormitory and Guest Houses: Live in local off campus student dormitories and guest houses.

  • Fully furnished single, double, triple, and quad rooms with shared bath.
  • No meals included but refrigerator and microwave included
  • Near public transportation (15-20 minutes to campus) and some locations 10 minute walking distance to campus.
  • Minimum Age: 17
