This is how we did it at ICEF14

The ICEF14 education fair in Berlin was busy and intense, but also very productive for everyone involved; if you weren’t meeting and networking with people from all over the world, you were probably indulging in the generous amounts of food and drink on offer, and taking advantage of the fair’s social aspect.

We at Kaplan International were very excited to be part of the event and this time decided to do things a bit differently to previous years. For 2014, we came to Berlin with new ideas and a fresh approach to how we want our relationship with our partners to be.

On Sunday, November 2nd, we hosted our Marketing and Social Media workshop at The Palace Hotel. The workshop was run by our marketing director, Robin Sutherland, and our head of PR, campaigns and social, Ido Simyoni. They shared our best practices and tips with over eighty of our partners, and let them know how they could do things differently to get better results for their own businesses.

Ido poses with the panel audience.

Furthermore, they shared one of Kaplan International’s biggest projects from this year - This is How We Do It - and advised our partners how they, too, could adapt the campaign’s approaches.

ICEF14 also saw the introduction of #KaplanPartners - a hashtag designed to help our partners connect with us on social media platforms. While our #kaplanexperience hashtag is used by students all over the world, #KaplanPartners allows our partners to share their own Kaplan experiences.

The feedback we received from this session was positive, and we are looking forward to supporting our current and future Kaplan partners using these valuable insights. After all, our partners’ success is our success.

We were excited to share for the first time with our partners that we will be launching an instant bookings system in the near future. We introduced this to help address the business needs of our partners, and are delighted to say that the response to this has been very positive.

Our stock of selfie sticks went very quickly.

Guests at our stand enjoyed marketing and social media consultations, and received a free #KaplanPartners selfie stick (because everyone loves taking selfies!).

Lunch time at ICEF14 was incredibly busy, so we decided to make life (and lunch) a lot easier by hosting our very own pizza party. It was great sharing a meal with everybody, so a big thank you to everybody who came!

Time for pizza at ICEF14!

We are looking forward to seeing you all in 2015, and we are more excited than ever to work with partners both old and new.
