Kaplan Reach 5000 Instagram Photos
Kaplan International Colleges is celebrating having more than 5,000 Instagram photos with the #KaplanExperience hashtag.
Kaplan launched their Instagram account last summer in order to chart the experiences of staff and students. The online photo-sharing and social networking service proved so popular that there are now more than 5,000 photos which have been tagged with #KaplanExperience.
One reason for the popularity of the hashtag is that students at Kaplan’s English language schools are able to win $100 Amazon vouchers each week through the #KaplanExperience competition. It is easy for students to participate in Kaplan’s Instagram competition.
Students just have to post Instagram photos during their Kaplan stay using the hashtag. Kaplan’s Social Media team chooses their favorite #KaplanExperience photo each week and award the student $100 worth of Amazon vouchers. The winner is announced on Twitter and Facebook.
The response has been phenomenal with students from every Kaplan English language school taking part. Winners have come from all over the world including France, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Argentina.
Hazel Marie Francis, Kaplan’s social media assistant, said: “The great thing about this promotion is that there are no strict guidelines! Sometimes we pick our winner based on how beautiful the photo is, or how sentimental it is; other times it’s the photo that made us laugh the most!
“We just want our students to share their real experiences with us and we get a more fascinating insight week by week!”
As photography continues to become a popular form of expression with students and staff, Kaplan is looking forward to using Instagram even more over the coming year in future campaigns.
