Instagrammer Teaches iPhone Photography to Kaplan Students
Kaplan students are learning iPhone photography skills thanks to lessons from a celebrity Instagrammer.
Ido Simyoni was invited to teach iPhone photography lessons to Kaplan students and staff after promoting his Kaplan Experience on the photo-sharing site Instagram while studying on a vacation English course in New York.
The Israeli television producer and casting director, who has over 40,000 followers Instagram at his account ido8all, gave two indoor classes to students at Kaplan's English schools in New York, which were followed by outdoor photography sessions around the city.
Teaching took place at Kaplan's English language school in the Empire State Building and afterwards students were taken to Union Square, Madison Park and Bryant Park where they were able to put Ido's tips and tricks into practice.
Ido said: "I was excited to teach Kaplan students because they all come from different countries. This diversity meant that each student's outlook and perspective was different to both mine and their classmates. I was surprised to find some great talents in my classes especially a Korean guy and Spanish girl who really made me jealous of their skills!"
The iPhone photography classes have proved so popular that Ido has been asked by Kaplan to provide further teaching to students in England who are learning at English schools in London.
Rob Pickstone, Kaplan's Social Media Manager, said: "Kaplan are delighted that Ido is able to share his photography skills with our staff and students. Ido has done a great job in sharing his Kaplan Experience in an exciting and visual way while encouraging our students to do the same."
