This program will help you to achieve a higher TOEFL ®  score and prepare for academic life at a university in North America.

TOEFL ®  (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is the most popular examination for measuring American English proficiency. It is necessary to get a good TOEFL ®  score to enter a North American college or university and the Kaplan International Colleges TOEFL ®  iBT and Academic English program is designed to help you achieve that. The excellent curriculum has been developed by Kaplan, the established world leader in test preparation. Courses are available in London and cities across the USA and Canada.

Lessons Include:

TOEFL ®  iBT and Academic English
Fully trained teachers will help you get a higher score on the TOEFL ®  iBT and strengthen the English skills you need to succeed at university. Class time is spent discussing test taking strategies, reviewing practice tests and improving your academic English skills.

Structured Study
During structured study lessons you will take up to 8 full-length TOEFL ®  iBT simulations in our computer labs and receive feedback on all sections, including the new speaking section. Additional study and library materials may include books, audio materials and a customised study plan.

• 35 lessons per week in total (lessons are 45 minutes in length) which include:
• 20 TOEFL ®  iBT and Academic English lessons: These lessons are geared towards helping you achieve a higher score on the TOEFL ®  iBT and strengthening the English skills you need to succeed at university. Class time is spent discussing test-taking strategies, reviewing practice tests and improving your academic English skills.
• 15 structured study sessions: During these sessions you will take up to 8 full-length TOEFL ®  iBT simulations in our computer labs and receive feedback on all sections, including the new speaking section. Additional study material such as books and audio materials are also provided.

Program length: 4 - 16 weeks

Minimum age: 16 (18 in Canada)

Entry level requirements: TOEFL ®  iBT 53 (or equivalent level)

Start dates 2012:

• Irvine Valley College, Miami and Northeastern: Start dates available on request
• Boston, Berkeley, Chicago, Highline Community College, Harvard Square, New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, LA Westwood, Philadelphia, Portland: Start dates every Monday (or Tuesday where Monday is a public holiday)
• Vancouver, Toronto: Start dates every Monday (or Tuesday where Monday is a public holiday)
