Inglese per viaggiare: frasi da usare per fare shopping

Un soggiorno studio all'estero, soprattutto se fatto in destinazioni come New York o Londra, è sempre un'ottima occasione per fare shopping: dall'abbigliamento al cibo, dai souvenir ai libri.

In questo post trovi alcune frasi in inglese utili per superare le difficoltà dal momento in cui vorrai pagare alla cassa o provare un vestito.

Come chiedere indicazione per trovare un capo d'abbigliamento in un negozio:

You:Excuse me, I’m looking for a black shirt. (Sto cercando una maglietta nera)
Shop assistant: Yes, you'll find some black shirt on the first floor. (Le magliette nere si trovano al primo piano)

You: Where can I find jeans? (Dove posso trovare i Jeans)
Shop assistant: Second floor, right in front of the stairs. (Al secondo pieno, di fronte alle scale)

Come chiedere le taglie dei vestiti:

You: Do you have this in small/ medium/ large/ extra large?
Shop assistant: Not here, sorry. Let me take a look if we have it in the warehouse.

Chiedere il prezzo di qualcosa:

You: How much is this?
Shop assistant: It £40.
You: Do you have anything that is less expensive? (Non avete qualcosa di meno costoso?)
Shop assistant: You can take a look in those shelves on the right hand side of the shop.

Chiedere gli orari di apertura e chiusura di un negozio:

You: What time do you open/close?
Shop assistant: We open at 9am and we close at 8pm.
You: Are you open on Sundays?
Shop assistant: Yes, we are. But we open later, at 10am and we close earlier at 7pm.
