English course and Professional certificate
With our English + Professional Certificate program, students can combine a Kaplan English course with a concentrated course at Dublin Business School, Ireland’s largest independent third level college.
Our curriculum combines English and IELTS Exam Preparation lessons at our Dublin English school, before a 12-week certificate at Dublin Business School where students will choose to specialise in International Business, Sales or Tourism Marketing.
Explore a range of business-specific topics, building valuable skills that boost career potential in a variety of industries and enterprises. Upon completion of the course, students will gain an IELTS and English qualification certificate from Kaplan, alongside a Certificate in International Business, Sales or Tourism Marketing worth ECTS worth 30 ECTS credits.*
*The IELTS exam is optional, and comes at an additional cost which is not included in the course price. School staff will be on hand to find and book a test for any interested student, subject to availability. These courses are available to all students from the EU or students eligible for a 12-month working holiday visa in Ireland.

How many hours a week is this course?
4+ weeks of Intensive English or IELTS Exam Preparation
Customise your course in order to reach the required English level to study at DBS. Start off with 20 lessons a week of Intensive English (15 hours), and add some IELTS Exam Preparation lessons for an extra certification.
12 weeks at Dublin Business School
Each week you will receive 24 lessons (18 hours) consisting of 3 hours per module. The modules are a combination of lectures, tutorials, exams, and continuous assessment, taught by experienced lecturers and tutors. The class size may vary.
