All teachers have a level of education normally represented by a degree and they also have a CELTA or equivalent qualification. Some also hold the higher level DELTA qualification, PGCE, or MA in applied linguistics.

Designation Certificate
Kaplan International Vancouver holds a Designation Certificate, issued by the Private Training Institutions Branch (“PTIB”) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. Kaplan International Vancouver offers programs requiring approval (“Approved Programs”) and programs not requiring approval (“Programs that do not Require Approval”) under the Private Training Act of the PTIB. Kaplan International Vancouver offers Class C programs, which are defined as follows:
Language programs at designated/ interim designated institutions that are longer than six months or for which tuition is at least $4,000 (“Approved Programs”). A language program is defined as a program that has as its learning objective that students gain or improve proficiency in a language.
Student who enroll in a language program which is six months or less in duration, or for which tuition is less than $4,000 (“Programs that do not Require Approval”), in a single instance, may not make a claim against the Student Tuition Protection Fund, which is managed by the PTIB of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. Further, this language program may not have been reviewed or approved by the PTIB.

Depending on the program duration and/ or tuition charges, the student is enrolled in an Approved Program (longer than six months and/ or tuition charges of at least $4000CAD) or a Program that does not Require Approval (less than six months and/ or tuition charges of less than $4000CAD). For programs that require approval, the program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training. For programs that do not require approval, the program does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training. As such, PTIB did not review this program.
