Cultural Vistas J-1 Programs Offered
J-1 INTERN PROGRAMS
For: Students and recent graduates
Duration: Up to 12 months
J-1 TRAINEE PROGRAMS
For: Experienced professionals
Duration: Up to 18 months
With two immersive programs, Cultural Vistas gives students and professionals the opportunity to gain workplace skills in their academic or occupational field by providing J-1 Visa sponsorship for international internships or advanced training programs.

Kaplan International Program
Part-time English with a Business English Component
In order to prepare for the workplace in the United States, Kaplan International offers program participants the opportunity to take our part-time English course (15 hrs/ week of General English Integrated Skills) with an additional Business English component for 4 weeks, during the admission period allowed on a J Visa before commencement of the internship.
Our course will help you improve your general English language skills as well as learn specific communication skills for the workplace. You will learn the vocabulary you need to thrive in business settings and efficiently collaborate with English-speaking colleagues.
Additionally, participants will be able to purchase Kaplan’s exclusive online learning materials K +tools ahead of the English course to practice grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

Cultural Vistas Exchange Program Locations
Multiple locations around the United States.
Program participants get the opportunity to stay with a local host family and fully immerse in the culture of the United States, or live independently at one of Kaplan’s modern student residences for the duration of the program.

Work and study in New Zealand
Our internship courses in Auckland are the perfect way to apply skills you’ve begun to develop at university or from work experience. For a recently graduated high school student, an internship provides an opportunity to learn new work skills in an English-speaking business environment and may satisfy prerequisites for your future tertiary study. For all students, it will add an international dimension to your CV.
You can choose from a wide range of fields of work in both corporate and not for profit organisations and Kaplan will organise a placement within one of your 3 preferred fields.

Our Kaplan Internship Manager will provide support throughout the application and placement process, arranging meetings with potential employers in the fields of interest and prepare you for your internship.
